Was it? Literally? I thought I’d be cute by linking in the other thread as a joke, but when I pulled it up, it was YOUR thread! Oh the delicious irony http://forums.13x.com/index.php?threads/people-who-use-filler-words-ad-nauseam.350307/
https://www.motorcyclenews.com/spor...y-pit-stops-for-race-two-after-tyre-concerns/ Apparently one of the crashes was due to a tire exploding. No more than 12 laps on a tire.
It was literally. That's not the same as filling a sentence with useless/repeated "you knows" and "ummms" and "likes" Had I said "It was literally ridiculous looking seeing Syke and Melandri side by side going down the front straight and the differences between how the Kawi and Duc looked, literally." Then I might agree with you.
I remember thinking.. damn sucks for Yonny. Got booted from MotoGP, Moto2, then crashes first race in WorldSBK. But if that's the case, agree with the decision there.
The post race interviews in WSBK are generally interesting in their wording when you know there's been a widespread tire issue that weekend since riders are contractually obligated to not badmouth the Pirelli's.
Total BS. They've been racing at PI for how long? Come on Pirelli. Get your shit together. So can they swap bikes like MotoGP or do they actually have to do a tire change on the bike they are running?
I'm fairly sure that's because there never was such stipulation as Pirelli has with the riders in WSBK. Just before the race started when they noted that PJ was starting last on the grid they said he had an off in practice or qualifying hence his bad grid spot and that he might also still be a bit beat up from the wreck. He basically started and finished the race in last place, all the spots behind him were DNF's Hopefully he's feeling a little better today.
Just looked it up.....that was late May last year when Rea's tire blew up at Donnington sending him to the ground. Pirelli really needs to sort this out before someone gets seriously injured....and not by turning a sprint race into an endurance one with pit stops.
those 336mm brembo rotors look sweet in that first Yonny photo http://www.brembo.com/en/company/news/brembo-wsbk-2018
