My brother momentarily forgot that I have a commercial pilot license and worked on the money side for an airline for a little while, and sent me that video. At first, I reminded him that I might not be his optimal target audience but then it occurred to me that it was really well made and worth sharing.

Also, turbojets are loud, like real loud! Throughout the last 30 years, theres been a big push to quiet down jet planes....

High bypass turbo fans use the air passing around like an acoustic barrier. Thats why you dont see 707's and 727s flying anymore, or if they are, only flying cargo. While they were the workhorses during the 80's and 90's, even 727s fitted with the "hush kits" were way too loud for todays airport noise pollution levels.
