There was a local band in the Harrisburg Pa area called Hybrid Ice about 25-30 yrs ago. Not possible it's the remnants of that, is it? And around here, Kix is anything but obscure. Been playing around these parts for well over 30 yrs.
I'm going to have to assume you know about 20 Watt Tombstone then. If not, you have to check them out too.
Shouldn't you be discussing Lacrosse sticks somewhere? Something obscure but good? There's a newer band out of the Tampa Bay area called The Hip Abduction who I'm really digging right now. Be sure to give a listen to The Revivalists and Gary Clark, Jr. as well.
Just got off the phone over those a few minutes ago. Been trying to put together a stick program to give them free to kids who want to try the sport and can't afford it.
Yeah, they are just getting pushed further and further out. I don't get this area. $500K to $700K for a house and people are lined up over them and you know they can't afford dinner for 4 at outback if they had to pay cash.
Oh yeah, one of Sam's favorites: Four Year Strong. Hard rock? Punk? Pop Punk? Shit if I know but they are damn good.
If this was 1974, Lynyrd Skynyrd would be known as "that band that sucks compared to Blackberry Smoke". Start with Good One Comin' On from their Little Piece of Dixie album. If you don't like that, then they're not for you.
