Not yet. One of those I want to be sure things and was busy cooking all weekend (GNF meals - maybe if I'm prepared I'll be able to actually eat ).
Either way - no way I'd DQ anyone for removal of emissions stuff so long as things are blocked off not tied into other parts of the bike that they weren't stock. We don't need charcoal canisters and so on flying off in crashes.
Yeah no worries. Emissions could be performance for the weight loss but that's about it really (I'm sure this will get people arguing about how wrong I am and how emissions systems being removed free up lots of power but oh well).
So....to clarify... My buddies 250's(3 of them) should have snorkles to be legal? I'm going to check them after the GNF
If it is a normal non-ram airbox, you need as much air as you can get. I'd say use the snorkel. Plus some shield behind the airbox intake to keep the wind from blowing over the airbox intake.
If the snorkel points towards the rear of the bike, you are pretty much screwed getting the airbox to fill ideally.
