They do that on their endurance bike so they know what side of the bike certain part belong, at a quick glance.

1- cost
2- possibly the "engineered flex" in it is not optimal for a bike that is 99% going to be bought and used by street riders. maybe, I dunno

 

But everything else they put on them to be competitive in sstk is?
