The new windshield mounts look good and should shape just fine. Hopefully they will stay in place... Just a tip to all "do it yourself'ers" when working with fiberglass, you must "grind" ( min 40 grit ), not sand, off the old paint and primer, back down to the original fiberglass so the new patches will adhere better and be stronger. This will allow the new patches to stand up against any shaping, filling, sanding and painting. Applying fiberglass over paint is like tape, once a corner comes loose, the rest will peel off pretty easy.
Damn. Thanks for the tip. I guess I could grind beyond what I've done and then throw a couple more longer layers on top for better adhesion?
Let it dry where it is with the boards still screwed on. Grind through the new glass to get off the green paint. Once you get the old glass prepped, rough up the new a little, reapply a few layers to reattach old and new. Hope that makes sense... little hungover!!
Gonna forget what Parrish said for a minute........and go ahead and cut this shit out. I'll come back and finish it later. Still got a couple other spots to fix anyhow. So....sharpie mock up...
