I have been coaching with STT since 2011 and just looking for a little push in my riding. Read through the new race handbook is there any other info I need to look into? My tail section in a little bit different than stock and just want to make sure I don't need to replace it. Thanks Stephen Aldrich [/URL]
Not sure it does make it easy to hold onto while putting the bike on the stand. Figured I could put the vinyl plate over it all if that would make a difference.
If you follow the handbook you'll be ready to go but I suggest you read the rulebook. You're life is about to change....
It's going to be a big change from "I'll wait on this pass" to GO! Have a feeling my wallet is gonna have a big change too!
in all honesty, the prices are pretty comparable to a track day, especially if you keep it on 2 wheels.
There a couple of control riders with a fair amount of race time. Have them give your bike a fake tech'ing. No guarantee it will pass but I bet they get you close at worst.
Huey with Marietta Motorsports will be there and is good. Not sure if Thermosman will be or not but it's pretty likely.
What a weekend! My first race was the MDW solo 16 I was not sure if I could stay on a bike let alone run a good pace for 16 laps. About halfway through the race my right hand started going numb, I tried loosing my grip but was too late got worse as the race went on but did maintain some feeling. Everything from registration to tech were a breeze. The wera crew is pretty easy to deal with and that made me a lot more calm. nice riding. Faster than some experts. Should do pretty well at the GNF if you register early enough.
