Just got a memo from Pirelli stating that Rispoli was going to be riding a GSXR in BSB SS next season. Team Traction control. Which, apparently, is backed (in some way) by Keith Flint of the (musical group) Prodigy. If this is true, awesome for Rispoli.
Things are what they are, and it isn't good. But it is good for the racers that are securing rides overseas. It's either go overseas, fight over the 5 (?) paid rides here in the US, or see if Home Depot is hiring. Looking at it from a rider of Rispoli's caliber, what's attractive about racing in the US next season as things are now?
This morning I could read about it on my news feed from about 8 different sources, RRW, MCN(UK), Cycle News, BSB News, etc. Gotta say, the Ripsoli press machine is a sight to see. Good luck to him.
Ya, think about all of us out there bringing kids up in this sport right now. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Its a little depressing.
Rispoli got where he is during some crap times - he's one of the lights at the end of the tunnel. It can and does happen.
Why would they look to see if Home Depot is hiring? What about their education for a more "normal" job?
Relax, buddy. I know it's your natural inclination to troll. If it makes you feel better, replace it with "see if a CEO position at a Fortune 500 company is available".
Flat Track is officially better than Road Racing.....we used to joke about this....now its reality. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/ama-pro-racing-releases-2014-flat-track-schedule/
Herrin in Moto2. Rispoli in BSB. For tough times, things are definitely looking positive for some US riders. Hopefully this only creates more momentum for more of our fast guys to rise through the ranks. We NEED to get Cameron Beaubier on the world stage, stat.
