This is my favorite, one of my dirt track helmets, a little worse for the wear. Not a commercial deal, but a one-off, done in vinyl by a genius of an artist. It looked awesome when it was new, cracked people up on the grid. Don't steal the design, I have dozens of bored lawyers.
Rick, I called my painter and he said he needs shots of the front and left side before he can finish up the knock off drawing.
+1 I still have mine, and still love it. Always thought about getting a new Corsair painted like it. Also LOVED the flourescent red and yellow Edwards replica from 2000, always wanted one. The original Troy Bayliss Suomy replica (red, yellow, black and silver). The Shoei Alex Criville from 1999. Last but not least, my current helmet:
these don't top my list of all-time must owns, but i ran across this one in cycle gear the other day... not $700 cool, but it kinda matches my captain America helmet from the 70's... and this one i ran across back in january in malcom smith's place when we drove out to Cali...i don't know what the hell i'd ever use it for , other that sitting on a shelf, but i've always dug the gulf color scheme (on anything )...
Some of you guys have way too much money I like my Porto x-11, but the trouble with that, and most helmets with otherwise nice paint schemes, is the dumbass image on the back.
By far my fav is the Kato memorial helmet, in blue, not the other knock off colors. Can't believe I see three of them on page 2! Got a buddy that's got one that no longer rides, and i've offered to give him more than what he paid quite a few times, he never bites dammit
Can't find a good picture of it, but Michael Dunlop's tribute helmet to his father and Joey. It blended Robert's helmet design with some of the striping and a strip of yellow from Joey's design.
