uh oh missed that one......replay on muh lunch break......I see a new thread in the future.... "Herrin is a drink throwing arm waving crash causing bad interview having honda 200 finish ruining A hole"! All hail Mongo! But ill let someone else start it up
They may talk about it but they almost never mention WERA directly. It's always "club racing" or "an endurance series" or the like.
In sharp contrast, Eslick came in and gave his team a thumbs up as he left. (The flames kinda fan themselves when it's all on camera.)
Josh Herrin is not a douche. He is not the devil. He is not evil. His family is not bad. His racing accomplishments deserve respect. His parents deserve some sort of award for launching his career and standing by the kid even when he (briefly) estranged himself from his family. Don't hate Josh Herrin. You can hate what happened, you can wonder WTF about his responses online and what appeared to be callous disregard or disinterest in the welfare of two WERA stalwarts (Dane and Taylor) who were sent down the road at 170+ due to an incident Josh was involved in, but nobody should be calling Josh or his dad Phil or his family names. I don't like what happened. I don't like a lot of stuff that has happened. I don't like the comments made afterwards or the fact that Josh Herrin called Dane Westby a pussy and implied that whatever happened was all Dane's fault. The Video tells me something completely different. And yeah, Josh Herrin has been the common denominator in too many incidents involving too many other front runners, in my opinion. And yeah, I don't see those other guys having a history of problems with anybody else on the track. As a public figure (whether he likes it or not) Josh Herrin needs some serious advice and training on how to respond appropriately when something bad happens between him and other riders, especially when making statements to reporters running digital voice recorders or when posting on the internet. But demonizing Josh Herrin and his dad Phil serves no purpose and is wrong. Just sayin'. And only my personal opinion.
well put. you cant argue the kid has talent. I like many just lost a lot of respect from his interview/words about the incident. IMO he was more to blame than the others. He didnt need to take the blame, but he should have owned up to being a part of it. I dont like his attitude too often in the pits, the crying foul often, etc. I wish more guys were like Eslick and Martin and Westby..just racers wanting to race. No bs/drama about blaming others or such. yeah and to call someones dad/family names is chicken s imo...dont call them something you wouldn't to their face. Josh, grow up a bit and take some accountability, i think your talent will earn you results and your attitude if improved will earn you respect and fans.
Oh hellz no. You can't end the 30th page on that note! Next we'll be singing kumbaya and sipping tea in our hippy circles.
Steeltoe and company on camera a few times during the red. Guess the director said "Find the best looking stud in the infield and put him on".
