If you have watched the previous two, the story is told that Sonia, Viktor's daughter, and also a vampire, falls in love with Lucian. Victor kills her for this betrayal and Lucian escapes thus starting the feud betweens vampires and lycans. After Sonia's death, Viktor murders Saleen's family but spares her as a child to replace Sonia. Thus, Soallen would only be a child.

 

Yeah it would be a little twisted to have them rubbing up against each other all oiled up and naked with such a large age difference.
