It caught fire twice on the dyno by the way...

 

more hp right where you get off the corner....that always helps. Looks like those variable intakes may actually work.

'03-'05 dyno run to overlay

Chip, can you throw an '03-'05 overlay on the graph, I need help to convince my wife that I need a new bike

 

Were they both stock? pump gas?

 

Both 100% stock with less than 100miles on pump gas.

Nice! I'd love to see the results of a pipe, fuel and SS spec clean up on the motor.

did they fall off the dyno and burn? did you call yamaha and tell them that the warranty does not say anything about dyno runs? did they offer to give you a 50% discount on a new bike?

very nice midrange improvement!

 

I would like to point out that there was no problem with the mid-range on the old bike.....according to the WERA BBS.

 

MMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...had cheese fries last night.

 

I'd like to see the bike stock with an aftermarket exhaust, and see if the midrange improvement is still the same ...
