Good God. Why don't all you bitches go out there and show Miguel how it's done. If the guy wasn't 100% commited to ride a 200+ BHP superbike, it was his choice to pull in. It's safer than running 4 seconds off the pace, thinking about what you're gonna have for dinner tonight.
That I will say. It was very "un-Miguel" like. Then again, he mentioned the lack of preperation time...
Shit, I don't even like the guy. Might not know much, but I do know that in this sport you have to have 100% commitiment. If it's not there, you need to get the hell of the track.
Exactly! I really like the guy. Especially after meeting him at VIR a few years ago. I expect that kind of comment from someone like.... well me! Not Miggy
Did ya'll ever think that maybe, just maybe, DuHamel got out there and realized he just doesn't have it any more to ride at the MotoGP level? Did he still deserve the chance? Hell, yes. After all the bozos that Honda has sent to GP while keeping DuHamel in Superbike, he deserved the chance. Should he have turned it down? Nope. He had to try. Will he have a job next year? He's still the best Superbike racer American Honda has.
That's kinda the point, Darren. It was a responsible decision, too. But it doesn't matter what your name is; if you commit to race and haven't prepared yourself mentally to follow thru, you are a big ____. Gresini are out a lot of money too. He is a professional. Zemke should have gotten the chance, it's not like Miguel had a prayer at impressing a person who might be looking for some new, young talent. Even as a one round fill in, if Zemke went out there and managed a top ten, people would take notice. It was a responsible decision, just not very prudent, imo.
the best part was miguel doing the interview........tells greg white that "I would have finished in the top 15" IF you are going to be a wooooosbag and pull out of the race cause you aint feelin it............geez, don't tell us where you would have finished. I cant believe I defended the guy last week.....LOL
When you are taking down you Miggy posters and replacing them with JH poster think back on this... Josh IS Hondas future. When they are all three is SBK, Hayes will kick their ass'
