I can easily tear leather that's been cut: 3.5 oz cowhide, 'roo would be a piece of cake. The strength of the suit comes in the seaming techniques used. That said, if anyone else sees an issue they feel needs attention, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
Cool, explains a lot about why leathers split more than I'd expect. I always figured leather was tougher than that.
Anyone else spot the blue suit on the lower right-hand corner...it's a miracle - somebody got theirs!! :wow:
first two yes, the first two suits were crash damage but I took no pics of them they were just repairs. they come and they go. but they were the same damage as the suit that was cut/torn by the medic. I've seen lots of cutoffs and the third suit sure didn't look it for it was torn not cut and the owner never mentioned it until he was offered the new suit for it. sure was coincidental that 3 of the same suits came through here in less than 2 weeks with almost identical damage. but that may be it just coincidental. triplets happen sometimes. if there is a problem it will arise in time for there are many of these suits out there but I would have thought those seams would have should have been stronger than that. just thought i saw something there that the riders wearing these suits needed to know about. I'd want to know . always the best. b bill
I'm in the market for new leathers. If I throw myself down the steps and split my pants will anyone offer me free leathers?
