Very sorry to hear about Fred. My sympathies to you and your family. You both are missed here, and the wordle thread hasn't really moved since.
I’m so very sorry. I came over here from FB because Brian Stokes just posted something about Billy and I wanted confirmation. I’m so very sad today. Hearing his mom is also close to passing is almost too much. I’m pretty sure I met you in the tower at Road Atlanta scoring endurance.
Thank you Paige, I appreciate your condolences. I’m sure you have one or two stories you can share about Billy Ethridge in that thread.
Here’s Muffin. She was the final litter from our last wild mama cat we took in,fixed etc, Mama was pregnant when we moved, and had to trap her. Gave them the 15x30 shed with heat and electricity, and put the furniture that we were going to throw away when moving, into the shed to give all the kitties their own home. Yeah I don’t know what’s wrong with me . Muffin loves this tree in the picture. It fell from when we were testing out some ballistic plates hanging from the tree, on various ammo, and hadn’t seen several rounds penetrating through. Next thing we knew, the tree just started going over Good Morning Yzasserina!!
I'm sorry for your loss. It's good to see you post, even if it is for this reason. Normally I'd say hope you are doing well, but I can't imagine. Take care of yourself.
Trust you to lure me back with a cat picture! I would upload a photo of Doodle, our tuxedo cat, but the file size is too large to do it directly from my photo library and I don’t know how to edit it. The more things change, the more they stay the same, ha! Wanted to follow up on an earlier comment I made regarding notifying two specific people who we met through WERA of Fred’s passing, Billy and Britt. He knew them, they were people he liked and admired. They treated one another with respect. Good natured ribbing here and there, sure. The only reason why I joined this venue was because I was interested in him; if he’s interested in something, then so am I. I haven’t lost interest in motorcycle racing; I watched way more MotoGP,2,3 races than he ever did. It was fun on occasion to watch them with him because he would stop, rewind, play in slo mo and explain in detail what was occurring. It might have come across like he and I didn’t enjoy the virtual company of many of you over the 20 plus years we participated here, and that is not the case. He did and I did. We, independently, came to the conclusion that we were no longer interested in participating here. It became an ugly environment, where keyboard jockeys typed gross, vulgar misogynistic things you know they would not have the nerve to say to your face. And the moderators did… nothing. I don’t know whether that environment has changed. Until then, I am here to tell Billy stories. Thank you all for your condolences.
Oh, there’s plenty more kitty pictures Mama had a litter of 4 after we relocated her to the shed/cat mansion at the new place. I’ll get more pics………
Sometimes, I’m successful at reducing the pixel size by texting the picture to myself. Then, I don’t enlarge it, I just screen grab it, then send it to photos. Most times, it’s reduced enough to post.
I do something in 'edit' with moving the scale to the left. I don't really know what I'm doing though.
