I have 21 Tuono v4 factory, 22 ktm 690 smc r, and a 24 Ktm superduke 1390 Evo R. Depending on how I feel and the mood I am in I love all three of them. Just when I think I like one more than the others I take one of the others for a ride and my feelings change again. I do think, however, that these will be the three models I ride for the rest of my life . . . just updating as they get too old. All three are comfortable and just make me smile.

    The first street I bought was a 81 GS1100E that I promptly built . V&H 1170 kit with cams, pipe smooth bores & V&H clutch .
My favorite did not last long , Yellow/Purple 98 CBR900RR Pretty sure Chicago PD had something to do with it getting stolen .

Just did a 4 day trip to WVa with 8 buddies for the holiday weekend. We had 3 Super Dukes including mine, a V4 Tuono, and a handful of Ducati’s. Although I’m sporting 185hp and torque for days, the SDR is a real pussycat and easy to ride fast.

We did a couple of bike swaps throughout the trip, and I got a chance to pilot the Tuono. I’m not afraid to admit that I was terrified of it. It’s rapid like missile, and felt like it actively wanted to kill me.

Agreed. The SDR is easy to ride and just does exactly what you want it to do without fuss.

    Steeltoe What's my move?

Turned 52 this year and the answer is still GSX-R 750.

Looked around for a clown shoe but the ones I can afford are pretty clapped out.

I don't really like the Z4. Reminds me of a giant floppy dildo.

RC30 that I had a chance to ride was the best for me. There's a reason besides their rarity why they sell for bank .

Sure seems like the RC45 would make for a better street ride.

My Holy grail/ dream bike! I remember a novice racing one in the southeast back in the 90s. I was always afraid he was gonna bin it! Someday I hope I can afford one

Great bike on paper and from 20 yards. A wheel barrow full of Sakrete in reality.

I've had a '13 RSV4 racer, '18 RSV4 Factory LE racer and still have a '16 Tuono RR w/Ohlins suspenders and forged wheels.....Forged wheels on a Tuono takes the 'actively wanting to kill me' feeling to a 'nuther level.

I actually just signed up for Aprilia demo days and am going to demo a new Tuono and RSV4....but mainly interested in the new Tuono.

That V4 motor is sublime, almost the same midrange grunt as a twin, but with the top end raging pull of an I-4.

Rode one back to back with the RC30. No contest. Snatchy fuel injection, not nearly as refined as the 30.

You can look like you can afford one.
If Grosswachter is still doing engine builds for the 750, that plus suspension could be close to the real thing, and run around $10k.

52? That's about as many model years the Gixxer in your pic has received Bold New Graphics.

Almost all the performance of a superbike (RSV 4) but with nice comfy bars. I'm 54 and riding with clip ons on the street gets old fast.

I'm turning 65 in a few weeks, and the answer of course is my beloved, awesumly running and sorted K5 GSX-R1000!
