I think @elvee had one of those. Rode his around a few miles and fell in love with it inside 5 miles whatever it was.

I had Ducati GT1000 that I quasi cafe racered with 998 forks, ST3 4-pot calipers, Marchesini 10 spoke wheels, and Sport 1000 clip ons, etc. It was beautiful and fun to ride. A lot of great memories with that bike and riding 2up with my then lady friend and now wife. To boot, that air cooled dual spark 1000 L-twin has got to be one of the nicest, mellowest, and smoothest big bore twin engines ever made. It was really, really nice. The Termi slip-ons were the icing on the cake. I miss that bike.

One up around town fun - Hypermotard. Two up or longer trips - Multistrada.

Whatever it was when he reminds me I always end up sniffing around for one. Back in NoVa no way in the 7 layers of Hell I'd own a motorcycle. Now?

Be fun to start with one and ruin it like I have with almost every motorcycle I've owned now that I live in Methland.

My Street Triple R 675 It replaced my ZRX1200...I'd still have the ZRX if it wasn't carbed. Although, the STR does everything the ZRX did, better and is 100 lbs lighter. lol I love the thing...its been the longest I've owned a single motorcycle...it's that good.

That’s one reason the ZRX is still my favorite. It does stuff wrong, it is carbed and has to be warmed up, I still need to tweak the needles a hair, it flexes and bitches when I get to pushing too hard and reminds me it’s time to slow down.

    Bottom line it has personality.

I would agree, but mine currently has a stuck float... Feels way faster than it is, partly because of its unrefined nature, and has awesome torque. I just wish it handled better. I think my '81 KZ1000 actually handled better, which might be down to the tire combo on it, or there's something wrong with the frame.

That 14 livery pops like those 1990s vacuum hose ZX7s. Pretty awesome for a hyperbore

My 2014 StripleR is the only bike I’ve regretted selling.

Most likely tires and weak fork springs. Mine has had a set of 1.05n-m springs installed and that helped it a ton. its on power V tires and they work well.

I've owned a '16 Street Triple R from new. I made into a white Rx. It may very well be a forever bike for me.

Possible...I have rebuilt the forks with slightly heavier oil. It's got new BattleAxes on it, which is the only bike i've got with those, so don't know if the tires are creating the problem. It's really just the turn in, where it doesn't want to roll in, and won't stay there unless you're putting in extra pressure on the bars. It's weird, like it wants to stand up all the time. Kind of like when you've got flat spotted tires, but these are new. I've got Pilots on most of my other bikes, and those have great turn in.

The most fun bike I ever had was my 97 YZ250 2 stroke converted to supermoto. I had plated it when new for racing enduros and decided to reinsure and plate it when I started playing around on the sumo tracks. It was super light, handled amazing, but otherwise was kinda slow and got uncomfortable quick. It was an absolute hoot to take out on the backroads with the local riders and really have fun passing and being passed.

My favorite street bike by far has been my SV1000S. Great torque, reasonable handling and brakes once I upgraded both ends, and added a slipper clutch. Honestly It's a big fun bike to ride, but not exactly the fastest or best handling.

Dang it, now you're making me want to finish all these projects I have laying around. This is my 96 that needs the cylinder replated. I know, send it to Millenium along with $400 and I'll get it back within a week.

Different strokes for different folks. I couldn't imagine a 250 2T being fun to ride on a kart track or a course that had you on the side of the tire constantly.
Also you are the 1st one Ive read that liked the SV1000...

Had an FJ1200 I boufght new in 1993...kept thing until like 2010 or something. Decided I want something sligthly more modern and that would handle better and bought a 1997 YZF1000R Thundrace. That was fun for about two years and then I wished I had the FJ back. Than I inherited a 1994 Honda Goldwing from my parents. I would have never bought one myself, but who is going to pass on a free motorcycle. I road that thing like a sportbike. Full throttle to redline 80% of the time and leaned it over until it was dragging all kinds of things. I actually enjoyed riding that more than I ever though I would, until I was on the interstate and some nut job who forgot to take her meds or soemthing rear ended me going about 80 mph. I promised my wife I wouldn't ride on the interstate anymore so I bought a WR250R with some of the settlement money, because you know tyring to go fast in the woods and up the side of mountains is much safer! But mostly I just commute staying on surface streets with it and it's great for that.
