Checking the bike over during the offseason and noticed something I haven't seen before. It was a brand new 2020 zx10r built up by KWS for Stock1000 and was crashed and then sold to me after the first round in Atlanta, so it had a few hundred miles with the VP MGP fuel in it. During my ownership its predominantly been run on 93 non-ethanol pump gas, apart from less than a handful of times when I had no choice but to put regular 93 ethanol. Bike has around 4000 miles now since I started racing it beginning of 2022. There's a buildup of some kind of yellow film right above the valve seats in the intake ports, tried scraping it with a pick but doesn't seem to come off. Almost looks and feels like the surface is pitted. Any ideas?
That's from the MGP. All of our bikes have that in the throttle bodies and the intake ports. It should clean off with brake cleaner/carb cleaner.
