The Yamaha Champions Riding School schedule is out! The 2-Day ChampSchool and the Racers Only programs are perfect for club racers looking to go faster with less risk.

    https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/yamaha-champions-riding-school-releases-its-2024-schedule/

We are holding the Racers Only events at NCBike and Inde Motorsports Ranch. This class will use a 2:1 instructor ratio, TTR125 mini-bikes, and YZF-R1 data bikes to help students with their lap times and racing-specific techniques. Racers Only will also go over starting procedures and launch tips, preparation, sponsorship management, and passing to name a few racing-specific topics. This only happens once per year on the East Coast and once per year in the west so don’t miss out.”

Kyle Wyman, Cody Wyman, Stefano Mesa, Chris Peris, Ben Walters, Robertino Petri, Michael Henao, Eziah Davis, and more will all be on hand to work with you personally on YOUR racing. You are more than welcome to bring your bike. Any brand or type of bike is welcome. If you are flying in or simply want to ride something different, we will have a complete selection of Yamaha MT-07’s, MT-03’s, MT-09’s, YZF-R6’s, YZF-R3’s and YZF-R7’s available for a true “arrive and ride” experience for our Racers Only program.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.

70% of our 2-Day Customers bring their own bike, and 95% of our Racers Only students ride their race bikes. The price listed is for tuition only. Bike or gear rental is extra.

Nice work on the East Coast date, Chip!

I have been talking about the original Racer's Only event at Inde back in March 2022 to anyone who will listen... The level of the participants really raises the instruction beyond the basics to push the envelope higher more quickly. The was a lot of information dealt out in 2 days. Pro Tip: If you have a non-rider attending with you (pit crew, spouse, etc.) get them to sit in on the classroom sessions with you and take notes. Then you can compare notes at home to make sure you don't miss anything.

Most people I talk to balk at the overall cost. I will offer that if you are truly serious about your racing the program (both the on track instruction and the classroom sessions on mindset and sponsorship) can pay huge benefits. These things can help you bring revenue (continency, sponsorship) to your program. There are also some product deals through Champ partners that can yield additional discounts. (Note: I have not been serious enough about my own racing to realize any of this, but it IS out there!)

Are you able to take racer only if you are a white plate rider, but never done any of the schools before?

And to add on to Rugby’s question, what if you are a rusty, slow white plate?

At the time I took Racer's Only I didn't even have a race license yet, just a TON of track coaching experience. The experience level ranged from me all the way up to some dude near the pointy end of the Canadian National Championship. Some experienced racers, some not so much, some young, some old, but everyone eager to learn.

I think the proper question to be asking is this: Are you ready to be shown all the things you're currently doing that you could be doing better? To us old timers Cody Wyman is a kid, but damn can he dissect your technique frame by frame on video!
