Interested in an Alpinestars Black/White Atem 44/54.

I'm 5"11 190lbs and a Teknic Violator 44/54 fit snuggly new (pre-stretched) with a back protector. Do you think a 44/54 Atem will work?

It's going to be quite snug unless you are quite an athletic build.

 

Is A*'s fit type more for tall thin people? I'm working toward 180lbs or less and I would say at that weight I'd have an athletic build. Would any A* size be the right fit at that weight? What other brands are better for stockier frames?

If you get below 180 you should be fine, however if you are staying over 190 go with a 46/56.
