Sounds like the fz09 is what a lot of you ride. I love the look of them. I was looking at the power output of them and looks like they make similar power to an F4i. Does this get boring if you are used to literbike power?

After looking at options in my price range I’m considering taking my 1000 and making it a street fighter. Having it naked and with dirt bike bars might make it better for my license.

If you look at peak hp, maybe, but the FZ accelerates much harder than any 600 i4. There is way more torque under the curve and the peak HP arrives much sooner in the rev range. On the streets, this is what matters. Low end is more similar to a literbike.

I think I’m going to have to try and test ride one of these before I street fighter my literbike.

You might consider a Spiegler kit
    https://spieglerusa.com/controls/handlebar-conversion/handlebar-conversion-kit-4348.htm

It may look a little odd, but its a reasonably easy conversion and allows you to keep the wind protection and avoid all the wiring and tuning issues of converting to a streetfighter. If you hate it, you can likely sell it for nearly what you paid for it and if you decide to go streetfighter down the line, you already have the dirty bike bar in place.

If I can ask, what made you do that? How do they compare? I have been looking at both of those as options.

I have a 2012 Tuono V4 before my super duke. I loved it but I buy a new bike every other year due to me putting a lot of miles on bikes. I like to ride. Literally I ride all the time when the weather is nice. No one wants to buy a 40k mile euro bike so I sell it when i get about 30k miles on it. Nother sounds and feels like a V4. only thing that sounds like it is the crossplane R1. I am a big Vtwin guy thats why I went to the superduke to try it out. If I was to build the perfect bike I would have a V4 superduke. I race supermoto so the superduke is a spitting image riding style as one just 100 more HP. Here is my old Tuono 20160321_221356.jpg

^^ Nice bike and I also read most of the link above that. Been itching to get something different. For what I have in it and the way my 08 FZ1 is set up, it is hard to part with. I have seen videos and read some of the debate between the Ape and KTM, you get opinions both ways, so there probably both great bikes.

Just bought a 15 CBR1k. Only thing I'd change would be to make it a brand new Aprilia RSV4.
Have been riding a 600F4i since 07. Almost at 85,000 miles on it now so it was time for a new bike. See above lol. Otherwise wouldn't change a thing besides more power.

Took my '85 FJ1100 out for it's first spring ride yesterday...Needed to run some pure gas through it with sea foam to clean up the carbies. Had it since new. All I can say is, even though it's over 30 years old, it still hits like a sledge hammer. Something about a simple air cooled motor that just feels right.
