Arrived today, wasn't prepared to see such a large attendance on a Thursday afternoon....5x the size of MotoAM at its best and larger than Indy event I attended 4-5 years ago. Tent/RV camping in remote areas I almost wasn't aware of. First practice group I see an M4 livery whistle by, #70 I think? See Chris U. walking past, yep, its Ty. Then next practice Eslick wheelies out of 5 damn near the length into next corner; Kern on a BMW then #37 Mesa on what someone whispered a 200hp duc? $10k for the win in that class? Man AHRMA's changed since '97! Grattan BOT 1 - counter race, R11GS Cheers!
I've always had fun at that event, but it's so big now you're not even guaranteed a parking spot. And the way they mix classes, the modern bikes are doing ALOT of passing. I know they've come a long way since the old show up on Wednesday and get in line for a parking spot- but it's still crazy.
They changed up the big dash for cash this year to allow modern Next Gen bikes to participate. Boulder Motorsports usually brings out some pretty trick machinery. If it's the Panigale he rode for them before, it's north of 2oo HP.
How much of that HP can really be used at Barber? Figuring Ty Scott and Gillim on the GSXR 750's will be the two to beat. Looking forward to getting there in the morning.
First year missing it in awhile but glad I just raced WERA this year… VMD was a very nice change.. I can’t believe AHRMA went from $100 to $140 just to get a pit spot at Barber… If your on a budget it will steer people away…
Gus is P5, got into the 27's on the SSNG V2. I may be wrong but I believe that all of the bikes ahead of him are unrestricted, we still have the MA V2 throttle restriction. Mesa's bike is a rocket.

Barber is such a great place. Top event in the country overall for bike racing, watching and parts hunting if you're into vintage.
Those cut rotors freak me out, saw a set on a TZ500 and just can't see how they don't turn into disasters?
The M/X track was like looking at a 70's GP track. Given the attention to landscaping detail shown around the rest of Barber Motorsports Park, that M/X track will be an American Namur before you know it. My guest just kept saying he's never had such a strong urge to buy an old motorcycle in his life. That track just begs to be ridden on a 1977 Suzuki RM250.
I was hoping to get down there to see KR, but I was busy in the tire trailer. I wanted to know if he liked the tires I sent over for that bike.
