I WAS CRUZIN DOWN I-64 EAST JUST PAST THE KY RIVER BRIDGE, LOOKED DOWN TO SEE 140 ON THE SPEEDO, SO I OPENED IT UP AND HIT 175 (UPHILL) THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IN THE 170 CLUB. I SOLD IT THIS YEAR AND BOUGHT A R6 TO START RACING, NOW EVERY TIME I'M ON THE TRACK, I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING EVEN FASTER, EVEN IN THE BUSSTOP AT PUTNAM PARK! :D

I've seen 208mph on a 2000 zx-12 (full ti muzzy, power commander, K&N, dymag wheels), 174mph 1999 r6(full akropovich, factory jet kit), 184 2001 rc-51(full akropovich, power commander, K&N's, rev limiter bypass, flapper valve removal, pair sytem removal) All speed were on the speedo so I don't know how fast I was really going. I weigh 135, so that helps too.

I have done 167mph actual speed on an R1 going over a slight hill and it wheelied down the hill. Now that was fun..... Got 147mph out of my Ducati 748s and an impressive (to me) 160mph out of my R6. All actual speeds clocked by a police riding buddy.

No you don't he is the reason I get stopped so much. That fool saw the police and wheelie past the guy and waved at him. (NOT THE SAME POLICE HE WORKS FOR). We ended up running and of its my luck that I have the only Ducati 748 within 4 counties and they just show up to my house. He is good to have around as far as tickets go though. (When he is on duty)

How about a rolling burnout and a smilie face with Kawi H1 500??
rrrringg ding ding ding....rrrringgg ding ding.

I loved that bike, with the high speed wobble at 95....but smoothed out at 105. Top speed unknown. :D

Last time at WFO on a public road, right after a Mid-Ohio race in '98 or '99, On a GSXR 7/11 oil cooled monster. No gauges except a tach and a bicycle computer speedo. Lights where zip tied on. Raced a bunch of RR's and ZX-11's all the way to Fort Wayne. I was never passed except when I let off. Top speed unknown, bike computer doesn't register above 62 mph or 100 km/hr. :D

    what a dumbass!!

ya'all realize that most speedo's are way off over 100?

Two years ago I was reading in RRW about an R6 that was indicating over 170 mph and registering less than 150 on radar.

My DRz will hit 75 downhill.

I road my trek(road bike) down a long hill, river valley, when I reached the bottom the bike computer read 55 mph....would have been cooler 'cept the rear rim was slightly out of true...

at the bottom of the hill the bike was bouncing like a Vega, with a trunk full off concrete, going over some railroad tracks..... priceless.... :D

With tank mounted camera (I didn't look down at the time) the video shows 177 on 96 GSXR750 stock. On 86/88 GSXR7/11 the speedo was way off but with gears and calculating at red line in 5 aprox 165 then I ran out of road oops  :( swore off bikes for 6 years then got the bug with the "new" 96 and going to hammer school have not ridden a sportbike on the street since.

not the fastest I've been on the street, but this was a-lot of fun.
I went 98 mph on an aprilia atlantic 500 scooter on I-4 in florida.
really suprises people when you zip by on a scooter and they are allready going 80.
