Thanks for mentioning Clackers, I think I can still feel the lumps on my forearms. I loved playing with them and went through more than one set with the glass balls shattering after so much use. I was pissed when they came out with the wimpy version that had a solid assembly instead of the string holding the balls so they didn't hit your forearm.
the ones we had locally usually had 1 savant that could name that tune in 3 notes...lol They also had a very up to date local concert calendar that took up a whole wall. I miss that place.
Not 100% sure, but I seem to remember 17 cents for a pack of cigarettes at the PX . We bitched and moaned when they suddenly went up to 35 cents. And, C/K rations always came with a small box of 4 cigarettes.
And Carlsbad MX track. One of nation’s, maybe world’s best. Miss that one! Nothing like top gear down the Carlsbad downhill on a short travel bike then trying to get/getting slowed and turned at the bottom.
