Lol...DiMario still looks like a giant compared to Bodie but he is catching up I see.

Yeah, I've never seen the Mid-O paddock filled like it was yesterday, when I cruised through on my scooter. Even had people outside the gates. I wasn't expecting that, considering the swap meet seemed down a bunch from past years.

Amazing race 1. Top 8 within 1.2s at the finish is the Talent Cup dream realized! I won’t spoil the results but it was a great race. Wish the camera work could keep up with the excitement, but I’ll take it. (Some bad camera transition decisions on the last lap showing empty track for quite a while were tough)

I was thinking the same at first, but if there are 30 bikes but no good racing for the podium, then I’d rather see 13 entries with 8 of them dicing it up the whole race.

i’d rather see a healthy series with a lot of entries. Unfortunately, this class isnt really growing. Also, me thinks DiMario is sandbagging a little :)

I don't think it makes sense to judge a series like this, looking for growth of the grid, within the first season. I would hope we'll see some more bikes next year. But even then, I don't think a massive grid is necessarily important to fulfill the goals of the class.

If Bodie had the right gearing I think he may have pulled away mid race.
One thing is for sure, Mid Ohio is teaching them to race real close. A procession of 8 riders with 1.2 seconds between them is good training but a bit scary if I was a parent watching my kid get stuffed lap after lap.

As I was watching those last laps, I was thinking, race hard and race clean and those kids all showed a level of professionalism and fight which reflected really well on the series. Nice job to all of them really.

What is your 'standard' for growth for a full on, brand new race bike that had to be ordered many months ago, for a class that only races in America, @motion ?

It's not like kids from overseas can grab a bike they race in their local series and come join the Talent Cup fun like back when there were countless TZ250's throughout the globe.

Those cup bikes are fast... Only at the very top end was my 690 catching up on the back straight (in the f2 race)

Well first question is, where are the other 10 or so bikes purchased in the initial production run? Why aren't they on the grid? Has there been an additional production run?

Race 2 was just as I expected except that last lap pass in T13 that almost ended badly.
    (Red flag on 10th lap)

    I'm confused about RRW results
versus what was shown in MotoA live+ coverage.

    Was there a penalty issued?

How many teams purchased two bikes to have a spare, besides @Robby-Bobby 's two-man team, @motion ? Who's got one and waiting for a round close to where they consider home?

I imagine this accounts for most of the rest of the bikes.

Yes, there are fewer bikes that last year's Junior Cup races, but the racing amongst the top 10 has been every bit as good this year as it was in previous years. These kids and teams are learning boat-loads more about setting up and racing a real racing motorcycle, without any doubt.

They reverted back to who was leading at the last split loop as stated in the regulations. Not sure why they didn't check this before they did the podium...
