Since we are in a grumpy mood, F1/2/3 needs to integrate their websites to one. Basically copy MotoGP. Liberty Media, get on it!

We got here just as they were starting F2.

Yesterday walking through the F2 paddock I saw Juan Pablo Montoya and recognized him but couldn’t place him or remember his name. I even told the kids, that guy is someone but can’t remember. Today we are watching F2 and someone named Montoya spins out and then I remembered it was Juan Pablo, I guess his son is running F2 right now.

Porsche cup cars sound so much better than F1.

Just sat down to watch the F1 race from Spa, but have obviously gotten the NASCAR race. I'm just glad F1 actually races in the rain.

    Oh, wait...

Here ya go @Yzasserina! We got to go in the paddock.

We saw Leclerc, Hamilton, Ralph Schumacher, Jenson Button, Martin Brundle, Lawson, and others I can’t remember. Also they had the old Hass principle Guenter Steiner and the F1 announcer David Croft at two different times talking to us in the champions club, which was cool.

Ya. Pretty sad when the support class sounds better than F1. Did they do exhibition laps with the historic cars? When I was there they had one of the old Toro Rosso cars with the V10 that turned a couple of hot laps. The sound that machine made thru Raidillon and down Kemmel was haunting. Everyone stopped what they were doing and just listened.

I looked it up. :) I have to figure out where I’m going to live first. A decision about a year out. And I don’t want Valentino and Beauty to get jealous. :D

I used the FF button for the final 20+ laps *yawn* ......

Good recovery by Hammy, timed the pit stop perfectly. Don't get to say that about Ferrari too often lately

I was hoping Bearman was going to get 10th, after he got past Tsunoda, but alas. Would have been nice to have seen that pass, but, you know...can't actually show any passing on TV.

At least he tied for the most consecutive finishes at a position(besides first). lol.

@Boman Forklift , what's the final verdict on your F1 experience? I think my daughter would lose her mind just walking the paddock. She seems to recognize every human the cameras randomly pan to when we watch the broadcasts. Drivers, girlfriends, parents, engineers, pets. OTOH, she wants to be with 'her people' - the Max grandstand. I want air conditioning and a glass of wine but that's just me.

Well I wouldn’t come back here again this way. They wanted us on the bus at 6:15pm and we all were, but we didn’t start to leave the parking lot till 7:50 and we got to the hotel at 10:15 pm. Evidently the police stop anyone from leaving the lots we were in, because of all the foot traffic leaving the races.

I would do an Airbnb by the track and deal with the fact there are only 2-3 places to eat.

Other than getting in and out, we loved it. The club had food and drinks whenever you wanted, so that was very nice. I enjoyed walking in the pits and getting a ride around the entire track, so you could really see it.

I think this is common for these races, expect long lines and big waits but it's worth it. There's a zillion people trying to get in and out all at the same time and the fact that there hasn't been any major incidents, they must be doing a great job with security etc. Carry water, snacks, umbrella, rain coat and whatever else and expect to walk a bunch. Be calm and not in a rush to get out especially. But again, worth it!

Wouldn’t know her if I was standing next to her. Our guide pointed out a lot of other F2 and F3 racers, but I’m horrible at remembering names.
After talking with a few people I learned that Spa is way worse than any other track to get in and out of. A guy with F1 experiences told me he’s been to every F1 track on the calendar but 4 and this one is way worse transportation wise.
The experience would be great if you just get a near by airbnb.
