He does have moments of brilliance, but the shitty strategy calls usually bite them. I do like Herta and Kirkwood. I'm glad Marco is gone, I think the whole team improved since he left.
Again, this. I thought Colton would be the next Dan Gurney or whatever. But, he is not only NOT dominating IndyCar as one should if they want an F1 seat, he seems to flounder down around 10th place now mostly.
Eh, Herta's last couple years have been duds but he's 3rd in the Indycar championship right now. To do that in a car that isn't Penske or CGR takes some real skill. His biggest problem is the same as every other driver outside of the F3/F2/F1 ladder, he has next to no experience on Pirellis. Especially the notoriously fickle F1 Pirellis.
Apparently it only took Kimi Antonneli 10-minutes to wad up the Mercedes in FP1.... you gotta feel bad for the kid. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/kimi-antonelli-crashes-just-10-115733775.html
Safety car crashed in the parabolica too - maybe there was some fluid or something out there? https://sports.yahoo.com/watch-f1-safety-car-crashes-195426185.html
Toto did not seem too bothered by it. And I refuse to feel bad for an 18 yr old who gets to play with F1 cars.
If you guys can find a way, any way, to watch this morning's F3 finale, you owe it to ourselves to do it if you love exciting auto racing. Holy crap! The championship still wasn't settled on the final lap going into the Parabolica!
Is Magnussen the first F1 driver to get a ban for getting 12 points on his license? I can't remember. p.s. Classy move from Gasly.
Just finished watching the TV coverage. You have to admit, Ferrari winning at Monza is a very special thing. It was great hearing the Italian National Anthem being played there.
