Makes sense either way. 6 sacks by halftime and a record-tying 9 overall is nuts. You’d think after the disaster in Detroit last week maybe they’d figure out how to protect the guy or give him shorter dropbacks or something. I usually tone down my yelling at the tv when the kids are up, but “throw the fucking ball!” couldn’t be held in last night every time he got sacked.
Texans waive WR Diontae Johnson (4th team in 1 year) https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/news/baltimore-ravens-houston-texans-same-problem-diontae-johnson
Wow, I haven’t been following that train wreck but damn. Went from 19 million two years ago to what looks like the league minimum and then getting cut again. Hopefully for him he’s better with his money than being a teammate.
What’s the best about it is he worked for a company specializing in DEI. I almost pissed myself laughing about that
I'm not sure that's the video that would be recorded if that was said to my wife. But I guess the dude losing his livelihood was better than a punch in the face, or was it
That's actually factual, even if he didn't have anything to do with it. Maybe that dude just carries major negative mojo.
I think a couple years from now those will be standard equipment in the NFL, kinda sad to me but the amount of CTE they would reduce might be worth it.
Is Belichick heading back to the NFL? Raiders with Tom Brady going to hire him? Reports are that he hasn't signed his North Carolina contract. If true, he is still technically available.
He's 97 years old. Take the NC contract and sail off into the sunset with bucks in the bank. No one wants you back in the NFL.
I also heard in the Belichek situation that if he did sign with UNC, there would be a $10 million buy out to have him sign with an NFL team. The 10 million figure is peanuts to the NFL
I didn't know his NC job was still open, so it's news to me today. I didn't understand why NC would want him to be honest, but I believe they got a couple portal commits due to his taking that job. However, if I were in his situation and the Raiders came and offered, I would take it without a second thought. No income taxes in Nevada. Not like he would make any immediate impact and make the Raiders an immediate contender. But as far as personal bank account goes, I would take the bucks in NV all day, every day over NC.
It was explained to me that NC wants him because he's high profile and they want to reestablish themselves as a football power program not just an after thought. For $4M a year (or whatever the actual amount is) they jumped on to every sports show, sport website and in front of every college football fan's face. NIL has fucked college football more than the NCAA ever could. It's a tragic comedy where a lion kills and eats a clown with a teary eyed version of send in the clowns playing in the final scene. Actually, that's kind of funny but. . . NIL isn't.
