Swingarm inquiry

Need some help. Would anyone be able to tell me if a 2017R1M swingarm will fit on my 2021 Standard R1. I have read both where it does fit and doesn't fit. One person told me the only difference is it is shorter than the 21 swingarm. If anyone can provide me any information on it. Would like to put a brushed aluminum swingarm on my 21 R1. Any help is appreciated.

Which is gonna make panties (or fruit of the looms if that’s your thing) drop at starsmucks? My R1 has a polished stock swingarm or my R1 has a modified (even if it’s straight off) swingarm off an R1m?

Yeah, you could go balls out and shoot underwear straight to China with a Harris or factory swingarm but that might be overkill.

It's shorter. Will there be a difference if what you really care about is how it looks? No.

No one is calling up Harris or Suter and asking them to build a shorter swingarm for a big bike.

I tried using aircraft paint remover on a R6 swingarm without success. Probably have a go at it using a vapor blaster followed by some 3M Scotch-Brite pads

 

Thank you for all the inputs. I am just wanting it for aesthetics I like the brushed swingarm look of the R1M one. I found a deal on one and it will be way cheaper than trying to do my stock one. Already checked on it. Just need to make sure that the 15+ would fit the 20+ bikes do I heard both it would and wouldn't.

 

Are they anodized or powdercaoted?

It's not exclusive to the M. The 15-19 R1 has a shorter swinger than the 20+.
