Has any body heard any thing on the stock seat rule for prod. and superstock have they changed it or are they going to.
It has not changed - yet. We are working on it but for now the rule stands as laid out in the rulebook.
As I recall, it was stated in an earlier discussion thread that there was no compelling reason for a superstock seat rule either way. (ie no performance advantage) Why not allow both versions? We can only benefit from allowing racers an easier way to cross train from other organizations. Full grids are good for promoters, fans, and racers.
Mostly because it's fun to torture people... I'm kidding! Really! I'm just kidding! One of my main holdups on changing this rule is that we just got the rules to everyone and we've already changed some. I'd rather wait a bit to change them more. The other reason is that I'm waiting to hear back from one more person that was in on the original rules and can help me more with the intent to make sure I'm not missing something.
its just that I got a new bike and it already has a superbike tail other than that it has a pipe and all I can run is superbike
For a Novice, the pipe puts you in superbike anyway so changing the tail rule wouldn't affect oyu one way or the other.
Not to mention riding in superbike will make you a much better rider without worrying about your bike. I say run what ya brung in whatever class it will fit. I too bought a bike with a pipe and as a novice I plan on running in any superbike class my bike will fit, as well as the Solos and endurance if it comes to be. Come on people, get excited about racing, would ya? It's going to be an awesome year!
hey wera122 I just thought about what you said thanks for your excitment you are right about run what your bike fits in.superbike or superstock what does it matter. Its still racing, once again thanks
thats what I thought (pipe was legal in superstock) hey wannabe are we right or not. I'd hate to register for the wrong class.
Open up the rule book guys. Superstock is only for Experts. Novice can run production, SBK, and F1(ona 750-4 or 1000-2), or F2.
I just hate learning something new on days I really don't feel like it. That's how it seems to always work. Don't let the superbike title scare you guys off. If you're in the novice class like me you don't need to worry about a factory semi pulling into the paddock. Just like golf, pool or bowling, the only way to get better is to play with guys that are better than you. Anyone up for a game of dirt-bike polo?
SBK is,'t a really competitive clasw though because you have all kinds of bikes running in it. I have found that it is great for track time, but the hardest races are the production and SS because all the bikes are nearly identical in terms of HP.
I agree with WERA16 (why don't people use their real names, somenting to hide). I raced b&c production for 2 years, very competitive classes.
I ain't skeered! Just want to run more classes. Well, I think I do anyway, this being my first season.
