Can anyone tell me a good source (any source) for getting sponsor patches made in very low quantities (like 4 of each)? I have found many places that have a quantity of 50 minimum. I basically only need a couple. It's not a standard design like the Bridgestone ones, it's for a local company and I think the design would be too hard to do small in leather?!?! Any ideas? Looking to make the patch about 2 1/2" high x 6" wide... Thanks, Jeffro
I don't know the answer, but if you find a place would you let me know? I found the same places w. the big minimums that you did, and I've had no luck re: local shops. Thanks!
Dave and Jeffro, My sister-in-law has one of those embroidery machines that is controlled by computer, does some amazing stuff. If you can send me a file I'll see if she can produce a few patches for you.
Like I said, embroidery shop, just have them do it on a thickish fabric with an outline that will be the edge and cut it out yourself. Shouldn't be too expensive and they'll have the artwork done for more later. Or just have a screen printer do it and cut the logo out then sew to leathers.
Embroidery done via local shops is expensive in small quanities because of the one time charge to digitize. They need to put the logo into a vectoring program that translates it into the stitch pattern for the machine, and this takes time. Email me your logo and the size, and I'll let you know if it's too small to do in leather and perhaps I can help you with any options that might be open to you.
Good point on digitizing. I was kind of hoping the local sponsor had shirts embroidered already or printed or something
Alexa, I sent you an email. Let me know... ValuCycle, send me an email address and I'll blast you a copy too. Do you want .eps, .jpg, or .pdf Jeffro
They might have in the past. I will have to check with them. One thing they don't have is the demo on the local tracks. (Just kidding Mongo, whenever you get a chance) I hadn't thought about going to the local embroidery shop yet. There are places online that can do the digitizing for a fairly resonable price like: http://www.fastembtapes.com/generalinfo.asp I'll check with my local supplier and let you know... Jeffro
FWIW, I work in graphic design. If anyone finds a place that'll make your patches (or whatever you need done) and they say they'll charge you less if you can give them vector-based art (.eps typically) I might be able to help you out. I've got the programs to convert it to vector. Feel free to shoot me a PM.
You might try: 1- www.embroidme.com ( From what I remember they were $$$ but they do low qty runs - never used them though due to price) 2 - www.asacnet.com ( I have used them and they had really good prices ) They will also accept outside vector files ... but from what I recall, if needed, they did not charge much for vectoring. One thing to remember is, that you may be able to have 12 or 24 made for less than you can get just 4, based on QTY breaks. If you go with the second one, if you don't mind, let her know I referred you ... and no I don't get any kick back ... I just know that as a biz owner it's nice to know who is referring customers. Hope those help
