https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/new-suzuki-s1000gt.1520742/ Is all I've read on it, so far. Seems Suzuki, like everyone else, underestimated the number of bag kits they're going to need. So, supply has been a little slow there.
Thanks for the info. The CB1000r wheel is sweet, plus I assume will handle a larger tire than the 93.
It’s a 5.5”, just like an 8-spoke. IMO, a 180/60 is a better option than a 190/55. In order to run the taller tire, I mounted the wheel, rotated the carrier to where the tire cleared the swingarm (clearance was tight on the frontside), then, cut a chain to fit.
The 4th gen swaps with the 848 wheel. The 5th and 6th gen vfr swap with the 1098. This is due to the eccentric size. My hawk/vfr 848 wheel swap was done with a modified triumph 1050 axle and other bits that Sebspeed and I put together. He has recently done the 1098 rear swap on his supercharged 6th gen. I'll have to post pics later.
Yes. His bike is SO badass! Seeing it at the VFRD Spring ride was a highlight, for me. The average person has no idea just what this bike represents. Likewise, Christian’s bike is a 6th Gen frame, 5th Gen engine, with 8th Gen F&R suspensions. This guy led the way in VFR compatibility. To my knowledge, it’s the only one of its kind.
