After 25yrs of racing it's time for that chapter to end. The shipping company picked up both race bikes yesterday to deliver to their new homes. I do think a little tear came out as they pulled down the street. I didn't quite go out on my own terms, health had a lot to do with it but it was a hell of a run. A huge thank you to everyone who helped along the way and and the many who stepped up and showed huge generosity when I got the call from the doctor no one ever wants to get.
You'll always be a racer, just not currently active. You can follow my lead and spend several seasons building a bike.
Damn, sorry Ben. I was wondering how things were coming along health wise. I know it sucks, but you could have gone out on worse terms. Wishing all the best to you and your family!!!
Ben, we're going to miss you out there. I know you were there for one of my first weekends ever down at PBIR in 1999. Hope we still get to see you around the track. Stay strong, and never say never. I believe you'll be back one day. Cheers bud!
Health issues retired me also. It’ll be fine though Ben, your health is the most important thing now anyway. Pulling for you on that end. Glad I got to spend a few years with that Fizzer myself. Wish Temme could have gotten it back. Another day maybe.
Was going to say the same thing. You will need to be riding something to keep you strong and keep your mind clear and sharp. Plus you will need something to work on in your garage. Hoping and praying for positive outcomes.
Yeah Ben, I'm looking at trying to go back to Dirty Track with some stupid slow ass potato digger and I'll drag your "cunt" ass back with me.
So I saw this some years ago and his doctor had already told him to get his affairs in order , so he tried some dog medication and claims to be 100% C free. I have no knowledge if it really worked but it was broadcast on mainstream TV back in the day before they went full out bat shit. Wish ya well man and ya get some trail riding into your life.
