My only time at a USGP. However I did attend the German GP at Hockenheim in 1971. At the 1994 GP, I was walking around the paddock when I saw Erv and Freddie Spencer coming toward me. I brought up my camera to my eye, so they stopped and posed for me. I had used up the roll of film with my last pic, so when I hit the shutter button, nothing. I smiled at them and said thanks, but inside I was crying.
You have no idea of want track he is on (and I don't know either) or what the next corner is or looks like. The pictures where more showing how lean angles have changed over the years.
When Kurtis Roberts fought Renfrow in his first 250GP race - Laguna '96. I wish I had that tape and could watch that race.
P.S. The Race did an amazing podcast recapping this season way back in April 20, 2020. Highly recommend. Toby Moody and Neil Spalding. https://shows.acast.com/the-race-motogp-podcast/episodes/681ccbc2bdc60241406c401f
No desire to go to COTA? It’s pretty decent. I enjoyed Laguna a little more, but I think you would enjoy it.
