Pit-Bull custom stands?

Before I annoy those fine folks up in Alabama,
Does anyone know if they do custom stands?

Id REALLY like to use them but unfortunately their standard products won’t work.

Has anyone had them do some one-off stuff?

 

I can't answer your question since their standard stuff works for me. I'm curious what bikes and/or application you need custom stands for, if you don't mind sharing.

building two and the stands aren’t any more complicated, but not traditional.

I need them made to mount under the bike.

most flat track stands are wonky and homemade and looks shitty.

I can just imagine that gold beaming under my bikes. Hopefully.

They built 2 custom stands for me 18 years ago .

 

While he didn't build me custom stands, his font of product knowledge recommended the stand for the weird size I needed.

 

I’d say they will (they’ve done a couple things for me over the years), worst they can say is no.

They have always been super to work with (common knowledge).

Over the past years I had several fitment challenges and the fine folks at PitBull helped solve them. Either with adapting using existing parts or in one memorable case creating a set of custom adapters. I would bet that if you provide enough information, especially if it can be adapted to a new market, they will be able too hook you up. It mast cost a bit more than standard but how cool will it to be to have a Gold and Red, one off bling that will last a lifetime.

 

I smell a sponsorship opportunity that gets them an introduction into a new market.

 

They made me custom stands 16 years ago. I would give George a call, I would think they can make it.

Contact them. They are very friendly and might even want to sell more than just yours depending on what you want.

And reading your second post. I assume you are thinking one that goes under the frame on dirt trackers. I would think they could make something that adjusts on the side similar to the spooled ones that would serve more than just you. I MIGHT even be able to arrange a loan of a CanAm with a Champion frame for them to use as a jig test. If not there are other local dirt trackers that I might be able to hook them up with for test bike.

My brother's that's why I said maybe. I think he has met you when he was putting on races. Either Calsonic or Priceville probably. Plus millions of years ago I recall some frame stands people had for their astros.

If you are flexible on your exact design I think you might have luck. Good people.

 

I waited by the phone all day, but no call...sad Monday. We'll be happy to take a look at your custom stand need though. We've built at least a hundred custom stands over the years...We'll just have to look at what you need and then Charlie will probably have a really smart design idea to get us there.

 

This is why I have Pit Bull stands. Well, this and the excellent quality.

I've got a couple and you can ask for the lightweight version with a thinner wall tubing. Great for racing. Get a short handle too.
