Kim have you ever ridden an SV? They kick ass. I love those things. I'm jealous if you get one. Trade ya bikes one weekend.
nah i haven't ridden an SV. all i know is that the SV will get me far away from the "slaughterhouse" 600 classes. j/k it's always a pleasure riding with y'all...well...usually. seth, if you make it TWO race weekends without wrecking that F4... ...i'll think about it.
lil kim. A Friend of mine has 2 r6's he is wanting to sell. email me and I will give you his info we are in east TN so it is just a short ride across the mountain..Trust me he is very motivated.. he has a 99 and my old 00 R6 I traded out with him about a year ago. Due to a very unfortunate accident last year involving his brother, he is selling his race bikes, and I know they are well within your budget. both bikes hav had minor incidents, but nothing serious just bodywork and some pegs.. I honestly dont know If he has even moved the bikes since we got back that day. buzz me! [email protected]
http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42643 I know the guy maybe he could get the price down to move it.

ok well I will call him andd make sure he checks his pm's I hate to see those bikes just sittin there..
Kim, I totally forgot about this bike while you were here but I have a friend with a 2001 r6 w/ salvage title and tons and tons of spares for 3500 bucks. The engine is 'built' and made 106 hp on our dyno at Motoace. This is the stuff I know he has: Complete, unpainted spare race body, spare wheelset w/ rotors, brand new Hindle race exhaust. I know he's got gobs more stuff. He knocked his girlfriend up and his life is now over so he needs to liquidate. Pm me if you're interested.
Kim take Todds advise he wont steer you wrong. I still think you would be better off on an SV...I would call that guy in Montgomery and offer him $1600.00
Yeah Kim, an SV would be ideal for you. But I am contacting the R6 guy just the same. $1600 for an SV is strong.
todd, u didn't see the SV. Josh will beg to differ with me on this one though, but heres how i see it. if i was mechanically savvy, i'd say Heck yea cause it's a great deal and it's actually on the WERA board (i think listed for 2600...he'll go down though), but....i'd have to order parts on it (which ones i have NO clue), then pay someone to fix it up **ahemm** not to mention any names. i'd rather save the mechanical hassle and time, and throw the dough for one a little more than 1600 bucks. plus, i think that Dan would be WAY too Happy if i gave up on his SV 6-fiddy this soon! hey Dan, you have O-N-E nite left to sleep on it...your wheels'd better be spinnin up there!
givin up on the SV idea so soon huh? just when you started to convince me on it too. brian, thanks for the opportunity on her, that's still a bit over my $$ range. Booo...
Not at all!! I stick to my original advise...GET AN SV....but since you don't trust my judgement I will help you get whatever it is that you think you need. As for the SV that you looked at. You could have walked away with an SV better looking then mine...Pipe, body work and paint, tach, shock, and pretty much whatever else you needed for under $4000.00...THe bike had a low side on it...nothing major...just rearset damage and some stock pipe damage....everything that was damaged would have had to come off to turn it into a race bike anyway. The frame had no damage and the engine didn't have a scratch on therefore I don't think it was crashed very hard.
