That!! Will show you who really wants at it! My girlfriends mom lives about a block and a half from a huge spot in Pacifica, and the world famous beach Taco Bell.Place is always packed out no where to park 7 days a week.Back when they had 30-40 ft waves,I was very excited to see who was raw dog enough to get after it! Probably less than 15 out there all together, getting barreled,or just hiding out!
Had to goggle the big word... Native Languages of the Americas: Cherokee (Tsalagi) Language: Cherokee--more properly spelled Tsalagi--is an Iroquoian language with an innovative written syllabary invented by a Native Cherokee scholar. 22,000 people speak the Cherokee language today, primarily in Oklahoma and North Carolina. Though it is one of the healthier Indian languages of North America and the one in which the most literature has been published, the Cherokee language is still in imperiled condition because of government policies as late as the fifties which enforced the removal of Cherokee children from Cherokee-speaking homes, reducing the number of young Cherokees being raised bilingually from 75% to less than 5% today.
That’s not even the right kind! that guy is not even a fun guy I got the Tsalagi skin tone and facial features… big nose and cheekbones and crazy black hair…blue eyes though… genetics fascinates me… only a few of us have similar features… my kids have all the same traits thankfully… their mom is wonderbread white
I had to learn Tsalagi as an adult outside of a few words and phrases from my granny and Nan… my kin left the Rez before I was born and it wasn’t until I could drive myself before I could spend any real time there… the syllabary, the only written Native American language, was written by Sequoia, another halfbreed and just celebrated its bi-centennial… it was the hard but rewarding… my kids speak it and I wrote their lullabies in Tsalagi and then translated them to English and Spanish too… the apps are wonderful and made it so much better and easier for kids nowadays fun fact…. The giant redwoods in CA are named after Sequoia… he was that impactful in the world back then… he left to Mexico because of the Gov fiasco with the Indian removal act and all the corruption… lived the rest of his life there with a group of the seven clans…
This is my aunt Deb,and my uncle Gary 1k years ago in Cherokee. You may or not know you could pay, and have a picture taken with a "chief" best I remember,it stopped when I was 8,0r 9 yo? You could also play tic tac toe with a chicken for 25 cents,or a rabbit on a fire engine,or a duck that played the keys. It seemed normal as a kid,but in hindsight, very wrong, and now disturbing. The poor guy we took pictures with, was often time sauced, and sat all day in the hot sun.The animals didn't fare any better. The last time I spent a quarter, the chicken came out, layed an egg,and then proceeded to eat it! Also all the hotels had the 25 cent vibrating beds, and that was our favorite thing about staying in town. It had to have vibrating beds!!
Taco Bell Cantina is the one that serves alcohol. In case you didn't pick that up. I've been to the one in Chicago. They basically pour a couple shots in their slushie and refresher drinks.
That i did not know! Can't ever get in there without a line, the 3 or 4 times I've been.really cool place!
it was funny to see those on reservation dogs as I always thought our slang was just Appalachia hillbilly mix but it turns out is actually a native one… there are hundreds of them as it seems we mix and shorten words like imna… instead of “I am going to” we also have to be looking at each other as our telepathy works better that way
