Mostly it's because I'm a dumbass and don't treat it until it gets ... out of hand... (sorry, I had to). My heredity is a mystery on the paternal side and all of the maternal side is dead or oughta be, we don't talk. Hydration could probably be better. I eat pretty well. Dogshit isn't caustic that I know of, though I really try not to touch it, you really can't doo 40 yards a day picking up ~100 pounds of it a day without at least occasional inadvertent contact. When (sh)it happens, I have a bottle of hand sanitizer in the glove box, but no, I don't use hand sanitizer on a regular basis. Don't really even wash my hands that frequently. I have an immune system that doesn't have ear straps or fog up my glasses when I breathe. I don't really know what it's from, but it seems to be getting worse each year. Well, it's a big job.
Vaseline. The original in a tub is 100% petrolatum. If you rub it in thoroughly, it's not a greasy mess. You can get a formulation that also has vitamin E and a bunch of other shit in an easy to use tube. Either way, it doesn't moisturize, it locks in your own moisture so your skin can heal the way it was meant to. For you painters and mechanic types, put it on before you get busy. Makes personal clean up easy.
Yzass already corrected us. I thought I remembered it being a '76 Eldorado, from the book...that was a looong time ago.
Try superglue to stick shut cracked cuticles. You can also use it to cover and armor small sores. It lets natural healing happen. That stuff was originally made to stick wounds shut. It’s the only thing that works for me in the long, dry, cold Alaska winters.
I missed this post earlier. Doesn’t that burn like a mofo??!!?? I can only imagine that feels like sticking a lit match into the end of your finger! I may do a test run on the next wound I get on a less sensitive area. I just can't see myself putting cyanoacrylate in a wound in which I can already feel every heartbeat. Chickenshit, I guess.
