…Al Pacino beats up Henry Rollins. so I’m working in the shop last night and I’ve got “HEAT” on in the background. The scene where Pacino and Wes Studi bust into Rollin’s place to question him comes up. I always notice in the fight sequence the Black Flag tattoo on the base of Henry Rollin’s neck in the scuffle. I’ve see this movie waaaaay too many times and I love it but this scene always offends me, cause there is no way Pacino gets over on Hank.
Can’t remember much of it but there’s an interview with Rollins where he talks about working with Pacino.
I’m not a huge Pacino fan. He’s done some incredible films but he’s also done some shit. As for Hank, I’m a fan enough but he can also make me want to pull my hair out.
Sometimes I thank the monkey gods of that. I tried listening to some of the later Black Flag albums and holy shit, they are ass. Yeap, I said it, some Black Flag albums were complete shit.
That movie is top three for me, it’s so good. I’ve never thought about that fight but that’s a good point.
I have a home theater enthusiast friend... its quite the experience on his setup. You really feel like you're in the scenes with the shootout
One hell of a flick. I wish we could have 2 Michael Manns and zero Michael Bay's in the world. Some of Michael Manns resume: Thief - Pre Heat warmup FKN amazing Last of the Mohicans - Heat with Indians Collateral - Heat with Tom Ferrari and of course Miami Vice - Heat on TV Michael Bays Resume: Shit. Followed by more shit with cool explosions.
I’ll admit it…….Ive never seen whatever movie yall are talking about………and i thought this was a firearm thread
I had the double VHS back in the 90’s, after the Pacino Deniro scene you had to put a new tape in. Still was worth it on the box 27” tv. I just looked it up and it’s 83% on rotten tomatoes, who the fuck didn’t like that movie?
