Dunno if I'd go that far but it would be cool :D

The tail to me looks good, the Racebike pic looks good, don't know about the headlight but it's not horrible. Like the auto blip, dislike the lack of IMU but that's on paper so we'll see how it delivers in the real world.

I was really hoping they'd go cross plane with the crank like the GSX-RR. I don't know if that unveiling video with the rider on track is the actual engine sounds or just sound dubbed over, but it obviously sounded like a regular firing order in the vid.

Cross plane is a compromise, giving up top end power for lower end torque and (arguably) traction. The variable timing on the GSXR allows them to have both top and and botto end with less compromise. They deal with traction with electronics.

So why do both the Yamaha and Suzuki MotoGP bikes employ it?

Are they cross plane or are they big bang?

You also have to consider brand identity. Yamaha has put a lot of emphasis on the cross plane in their marketing. If Suzuki did it too they'd basically be publicly admitting that they were Yamaha's bitch.

    Cross-plane

Not likely......If that were the case then Ducati would be trying to make v-twins work in MotoGP rather than employ the V4 strategy that Honda and Suzuki (previously) were already using.

That's not the same. GP doesn't make concessions to the V twin like WSBK does.

Suzuki will be fine with their setup. You'll see when Hayden powers past Hayes on the front straight at Road America :D

Ducati had a v-4 before honda or Suzuki in GP.

Honda came in with the v-5 remember? Didn't Suzuki keep the 2 stroke a year after the 4 strokes?

So in reality honda copied Ducati;)

You haven't gone far enough back in history Ricky-Bobby. Ducati didn't do the SS sided swingin'arm first either.

    Honda had a V4 in GP in 1984. ;)
Cagiva basically went bankrupt in 1993 trying to make their GPv4 and ironically ended up having to spin Ducati off to delMonte. :(

Yeah. Do we really need two (2) mpg indicators?

Mechanical grip is always better than electronic intervention.

(before I go any further I would like to state that I too find it ridiculous and neither of my posts so far are anything but sarcasm)
