I know there are guys on here that live in Nashville. I am heading there next month for an Ice hockey tournament. I will be taking my wife so wanted to make sure we go out and have a good time. I have never been so don't want to miss anything that we should do. Also, if there are good MTB trails I wouldnt mind hitting them to while there. Any advice would be appreciated.
We had a great time when we went to Roberts Western World bar. Great place that sticks to traditional country music.
2nd Roberts. Also the place next door is pretty good. Lots of good food there too. Do some research depending on if you want fancy or cheap food. Third man records is pretty cool as is the brewery scene there.
The Country Music Hall of Fame is pretty cool if you can go when it's not crowded. The Station Inn and The Bluebird Cafe are still the real deals, but plan ahead. Definitely worth touring the Ryman Auditorium and look at who's playing there when you will be in town. Marathon Motor Works is a neat place to check out. The The Old Town trolly tours that leave from there are worth doing. Lane Motor Museum is kind of cool if you have some extra time. I'll think of more, in time. My daughter and SIL have lived there for 8+ years, so visit a lot. https://stationinn.com/ https://bluebirdcafe.com/ http://marathonvillage.net/ https://www.lanemotormuseum.org/
If you’re interested in a riding buddy, pm me here and I’ll shoot you my phone number. as far as Nashville itself, sorry to be a pessimist but I avoid that shit like the plague lots of great places to eat and some cool things to do but the most unique thing about it is indeed the bar scene and that just wasn’t ever really my thing. Sorry I’m not more help lol
Percy Warner bike trail is a decent trail basically in town if you just want to get some pedaling in. You maybe able to rent something from trail and fitness nearby too. Good guys there Roberts for older style feel. Any of the bars with a new country artist name if you are looking to get blackout to 90’s to current music. Third and Lindsley or the listening room if you want to see a writers round. Don’t worry about the blue bird . Tennessee brew works is a good brewery with good food peg leg porker or martins or bbq five points pizza is great great dinners at lockeland table or pelican and pig or urban grub breakfast buttermilk ranch in 12th south dozen bakery for the best salami baguette this side of the Atlantic
I'll see what our game schedule is. I don't drink so not sure about to many bars unless my wife drags me out to them. Hoping she just goes with other wives and let's me be.
Mas tacos por favor. Good stuff. Don’t waste your time at the Pickers place. Overpriced garbage. BB Kings place used to have good music. I don’t listen to country, so I never really did the bars downtown. Catch a show at the Ryman if you can, I saw BB there before he passed.
I'll second Martins for BBQ. Some of the best I've ever eaten. If you are interested in the Nashville hot chicken wars, Helen's over by Vanderbilt University campus is by far the best in my opinion.
Want to see middle aged women try too hard ? Go to Nashevile. Because that’s what Nashville excels at .
