Just a heads up, I received a very authentic-looking email saying that I had turned off my auto renew. I hadn't, and it wasn't. Didn't click on it, but it looked pretty convincing at a glance. Had to think about it for a second. Be careful out there.
Not sure it was actually phishing. I got the same thing this morning and assumed my son hit something on the TV app while I wasn't watching. I clicked the link, went to my 'subscriptions' and saw that it was set to auto-renew. So I'm assuming it's just a bug of some type. I wasn't prompted for any info or anything and the link brought me directly to the MotoGP website.
Still a good practice to NEVER click on the link. Just go to your account as usual not via a link in the email.
Did this in 2015 took me 6 months of emailing motogp support to get my account back. they mirrord the gp site and keystroked my user and password then changed my password and sold it on a website for people to pay to use my user and email for a $20 one time fee.
I received the same thing today. Had to check my account to be sure I was squared away. Certainly looked authentic!
Hi Martin, Due to a temporary issue, you received by mistake an email about the cancellation of the automatic renewal of your current subscription. Our tech team is working to amend this situation. Your automatic renewal will keep the same status as it had before this email was sent. Thank you for your understanding, and we do apologise for any inconvenience. Best regards, Dorna Sports | Customer Service [email protected] [email protected]
I got the auto renewal cancellation notice to, so I did what I usually do in those situations. I ignored the link in the email and went directly to their site and logged in......everything was fine. Then about 15 minutes ago I got the next email from them explaining that the previous email was an error and they are working on a technical issue......all good as far as I can tell
