Sho nuff. Bikes go over the crest into the downhill braking zone at 227 mph.

Thankfully the brakes are carbon so the riders just have to press reallll hard as the officials are gonna need 3 legible copies.

Has anyone in here ever even sampled a carbon carbon brake systems on a motorcycle?

I see their fingers use 10-15 bar force on that 220 mph slow down...interesting.

Toprak is going to come off a wsbk brake system and now have to find the limit on the carbon set up real fast. I think he will struggle a bit even though he is good at braking.

I take it you missed his test on the Yamaha a couple years ago...

Moto 2 graduates adapt to it every year. Why would he struggle?

And Toprak will have testing time to adapt. Yamaha will likely still have concessions going into '26 & maybe '27. And from the sound of it, BMW is releasing him from their contract so that he can ride the M1 at the Valencia test at the end of this season.

Toprak's no longer in that series, so riding a GP Yamaha concedes nothing (from the BMW point of view)
There's only a publicity downside if they (BMW) do not.

Oh I remember that...but that ain't going head to head with his rivals at race pace. I've been wrong many times before but I think he is in for a rude awakening at the level of talent he faces.

The only problem toprak is gonna have is learning the new tracks but I read he has already scheduled a date with Ben spies to go Keychain shopping.

Actually toprak stated in his press conference that he is going to use 2026 as a learning season so he is ready for '27.

Heart sank while after seeing Fabio crash in PR and start pointing to his shoulder......thankfully it seems he's OK.

Head case in 1st after their second stint on track.

    Pecco nipping at his heels

Fabio really looking good on that Yamaha right now

Alex doing Alex things in the top spots as always this year

Bezz showing nicely in the top 5 - musta wanted to pay back the team for gifting him a '26 Tuono yesterday.

Marc isn't dominating thats for sure but lurking at the front where he's always dangerous - anything better than a pit lane start he can be considered for the win.

Honda's lost at sea, someone told Olivera he has to ride hard or go home, and Chantra might as well dust off his resume now.

You may be right about overall pace. But he will have no issue with adjusting to the brakes. In that test I referenced, he was braking later than anyone else ever had at that track. And oddly enough his biggest weakness was mid corner. So he was braking later and still slowing to a lower speed by mid corner than anyone else. He may have other areas where the learning curve is steeper for him on a GP bike but brakes ain’t one of them.

So exactly like the Moto2 graduates who come off Dunlops onto Michelins, use steel brakes, and 99% of them try a GP bike the first time on Monday at Valencia after the last round????

    - Mav doing Mav things... I'm curious to see if he can hold the form in Q2 and what opportunity he can sieze from his pace going into both races.

    - The Royale with Cheese showing class again. Partially dislocates shoulder and tells everyone to hold his Chablis and watch this.

    - Stoked for The Bez. I like the guy and Aprilia. I'd like to see them both do well and the bike does seem to have top 5 (top 6?) potential week in week out.

    - I think Marc may be sand bagging. Let's see how Q2 goes. I am certain that he has a target time in mind, wants to see what his margin is, and what the other do first.

    - Bummer to see Honda slowing on their recovery. As for Chantra... it's just not working for him or the team. Ride for Honda in Moto GP? Good! Ride Honda's current bike in Moto GP as a rookie? Oh no! It's a poison pill situation for a rookie. Just contrast his fortunes to Fermin's.
