you don't think? i think his flashes of raw talent were pretty up there. i think he was a totally unfocused retard and concerned with all the wrong things and his image and BS outside of being a winner. but lack of talent? he was a killer in Moto2.

Just one more data point affirming that Ducati chose wisely.

I didn’t hear anything about him throwing them under the bus until the contract break was announced. So that can’t be the cause, but a reaction to it. I think Aprilia spent more on Martin than anyone else in their history. He was intended to be their golden child to (hopefully) bring them a title.

Him getting injured so badly hardly seems like a reason to try and end that relationship and project very prematurely. If Aprilia did act first in this, there had to be some behind-the-scenes unresolvable issues that no one is publicizing.

Aprilia is arguably the poorest team (not saying they’re poor, but it’s relative to the other teams) except for recent / unknown with KTM. Of all the teams, Aprilia can’t afford to spend that money and then just flush it down the toilet. They need it to work.

he nuanced wanting out before they said anything, was the point there. not Aprilia. they were forced to respond to internet rumor.

He was the only guy who could legitimately hang with Marquez in Moto 2. You couldn't count him out even if he started from 18th place. Which happened more often than it should for someone who finished so often on the podium.

Mugello has a slightly downhill front straight where the bikes can do 227 mph but must decelerate to 57 mph for Turn 1.

So it makes sense that Brembo is the sponsor.

    KrooklynSV Usual Suspect

Before he jumped the shark, AI was one of the more charismatic riders in Moto2/MotoGP. It's really a case of the "what could have beens" with that guy. Shame.

Ironically listening to motomatters this week they said been in states that besides that turn, this track is one of the least hardest on brakes.

I’m pretty sure the front straight at Mugello is slightly uphill. We saw Binder do the 366.6 kph in 2023 and it is hard to comprehend.

No clue what happened there. Besides turn 1, this is one of the least demanding tracks on brakes.

Is it maybe both without double checking? Goes up then there is a crest and downhill for the braking zone to turn 1.
