I'm just personally happy there's a lot of action in MotoGP in general. It does just happen that a lot of the action revolves around Marc Marquez and his riding and antics. I'm certainly not upset about any of that. I think we just need a modern-day Lorenzo now that's super precise, but also complains excessively and specifically about Marc to balance things out.
Good thing no other rider in history has ever behaved in anything other than a gentlemanly, mature manner. Rossi? Yeah...ok. Lorenzo? Biaggi? Vinales? I'm not a fan of Marc as a person, and I really had issues with him back in his Moto2 days. But to pretend that he's any more of a 'douche' than any of the other guys at that level? You've got to be a killer in every way to win championships. That's the game.
You make a good point. People who call Marquez a douche but to have never had anything to say about Aleix Espargaro shouldn't even be acknowledged. Zero credibility.
He skipped right past douche and went directly to dickhead. Much like Marc, his talent made his behaviour unnecessary.
The most interesting out of all this is that when you go back and watch these videos of how it went down on the grid, Marc is the one calling the shots. The team just seemed to be taking orders from him. Just shows you how smart he is. Right up until the point where he crashed out of the lead.....
Espargaro was uncompetitive at the 125/Moto3/250/Moto2 support-class level and won nothing, yet was still gifted a MotoGP ride. Makes you wonder, does he still have a printed diagram of where the dead bodies are hidden or is it on a USB drive?
Have numbers from this race been posted? In person it seemed like a lot more people in the stands than previous years
Did ya'll see that vid where Pecco was talking to MM after the race said he touched a kerb on the moist warm-up lap and scared himself, so he decided to never do that during the race? MM didn't learn that til too late. F-BAG also admitted MM was faster. Next 12 races are in Europe, and Pecco likes him some Euro tracks.
yes forget the he was far and away the best CRT rider there was, he damn near single handedly turned the Aprilia program around. Kinda makes you wonder how/why Honda got competitive after he came aboard. we won’t even talk about his actual Wins but yea, totally gifted his rides and career
I have not seen numbers but it seemed to be busier than previous years. Not sure how much of that was due to the construction and the elimination of the 2nd way to Ducati Island but everywhere appeared to be crowded. And for the first time the line for VR46 gear was not the longest line.
Marc likes them too. I'm just hoping Pecco is able to continue making Marc work for it. I suspect he will.
