Ahhhh Portimao. One of my favorite tracks. It bummed me for years the Gaps didn’t race here. I always think of Josh Hayes mind fucking Sofuoglu here. Can’t wait to see the last two rounds. I’m curious how Bulega will do.

Nicolo enters the premiere "mind game" moto racing series for the 1st time ever.
He channels his Bayliss vibe and gets the win :D

I like this vibe. Bayliss didn’t have a milligram of quit in him. Neither did Corser.

Bulega isn't new to GPs. He did his time as part of VR46 in the lower classes... But he IS on a Ducati and does have things to prove to the bosses. I say he shows top 12 in the Sprint and tire degradation brings him back to Earth in the GP.

I've got Acosta for a win this weekend in either the Sprint or GP. KTM's race team are going to throw everything at this weekend to show Bajaj they deserve the resources and need to stay.

Oh, and Alex Marquez figures it out for a win and a podium.

    Sprint- Acosta, Marquez, Bez.
    GP- Marquez, Bez, Morbidelli.

They better give him something he can ride or he may get embarrassed… again… I mean Pirro finished in front of him :D

I was reading and Bez couldn’t make the tire work at Sepang… so Ducati isn’t the only one with issues on different tires… just the only one with a MM93 to fix them and make everyone else look silly

I am really hoping Acosta gets the GP win. A sprint win too but let him get the big one under his belt.

But you can't count Alex out.

It is so trippy to me that Pedro hasn’t won one yet. It’s coming. :)

Last year's sprint was won by Maverick on the Aprilia. Aleix and Raul were in the top ten alongside the factory Ducatis, MM, Miller and Acosta. The Royale with Cheese on his money wheelbarrow rounded out the top ten.

Last year's GP was won by Jorge. Acosta was on the box in 3rd next to Enea on the factory Ducati. Binder, Miller, Bez, The Royale, Aleix, Olivera, and Digital Antonio rounded out the top 10.

Given those data points, it would be reasonable to assume that the Aprilias go well here and Bez should have a good baseline to start from. The same can be said for the KTM and Ducati.

Personally, I think Pedro settles for getting on the box in the sprint and goes all in for the GP.

I have some pics of salema where we are right now but just doing this is stressing my computer skills.
maybe tomorrow when I'm not 7 beers in.
I'm hoping they're racing vintage 2 stroke cause that's what I'm use to

Bulega 14th within a second of Alex in first is pretty impressive for his first session.
I bet Pecco in 17th thinks so also.
