We've always had commentary on TV over here.

 

It does now. I Don't understand the fan fixation with numbers. Kids promote up, have old numbers already taken, and get new ones. When they win with that one, it has meaning. You win in the top class with it, no one can take it from you.

 

It used to be a sense of pride running the #1 plate. "I'm #1, come take this plate from me, I dare ya". Now it's all branding, and selling tee shirts. FB63.

I wonder if it has more meaning in dirt track? thus why Casey and Nicky were the last to run it. I'm not counting JL99's version as the #1 even though he technically did run it.
