Remember when we were speculating about the future of RedBull in Motorsports? Some random observances from the late couple of MotoGP 2023 team announcements: A. Marquez still sporting the RedBull helmet. F. DiGiannantonio, Gresini teammate and former RedBull athlete, is not. E. Bastianini has also shed the Bull, trading it for the Monster "M" (matching his World Champion teammate). Coming days will tell if personal sponsorships remain (both Pramac riders, for example) or if momentum swings toward Teams (KTM, Repsol). Also, things are good at Ducati Lenovo. The "Ducati" wordmark is the smallest on the bike, with other sponsors crowding the entirety of the sellable area on the fairing. -T
Monster did a deal directly with the Ducati factory team. a lot of movement on the energy drink sponsorship front.
There's no way I ride any bike without one finger on the clutch lever, even though its been 11 years since a stinkwheel last spit me off at the track. I. just. can't. do. it. Not that I'm comparing myself to motogp guys... I'm weak.
I LOL everyday here in Bali. Indonesia is the #1 motorbike market in the world. I see 46 stuff EVERYWHERE. They are crazy about Rossi here.
I haven't raced a two stroke since 1987, all the photos I've seen of me since then still show a couple of fingers on the clutch, old habits die hard.
