Did the rules package for the Ducatis change from last year to this year? I know Xavi wasn't racing against the same group last year, but the Ducatis seem to be a step behind this year.
The R6 has basically a Superbike engine now, which came later last season, I think the existing riders stepped it up and PJ and Matty obviously to the class on good bikes. PJ and Matt most of the year have been well clear of the field this year, Xavi just had himself. I think it’s just more a testmament how good the Superbike riders are more than anything, and bring some Superbike caliber crews too. The last year I think like this was 2019.
All my interactions off the bike with Matt are like that, so it’s dissapointing to see him so wound up when the visor is closed. Bummed for PJ. I wanted to see this go down to Sunday at NJMP.
I didn't hear him apologize for his behavior after yesterday's race. To me that would have been the classy thing to do. He didn't have to say he was wrong or changed his mind, but apologize for acting like an ass on track towards a guy who had nothing to do with you falling. Maybe he should watch Pecco's pre race comments from a round or 2 ago as an example.
Big Matty fan and big PJ fan....perfect example of 'red mist'. There's no explaining it. Fantastic 2nd S Sprt race!! Ty and Blake will be problems for all next season.
I agree to an extent, but these guys are all racing for a paycheck and Matt having a ride here is why he can live in the US too. This isn’t club racing, the stakes are way higher. Matt probably has talked to PJ outside the race, no need to “show off” in front of everyone else for the media. I’m sure he feels it’s a settled matter
What’s going on with Cam P and Attack? Xavi looks like he’s doing okay as expected, but obviously new bike, but what a bummer to not have Attack in the mix at all, especially for the sake of the show. This is the first year in a looonng time, where Yamaha just wasn’t in the mix in AMA / MotoAmerica Superbike racing.
