Meh, I'm actually not at all an SDK fan. Kinda have always thought he was a tool going back to his days of bitching and whining about the 636, among other things. But in this instance, it's just words, who cares? He literally said "mofo," not mother fucker. And then said I'm so fuckin stoked (or something to that effect). As much as we often lament the absence of characters like Colin Edwards, Nicky, and Rossi these days, who actually had a personality and weren't just robotic sponsor readers, I can't fault him for the response. Nice to see a little passion sometimes.

That said, I'll acknowledge I'm probably in the minority as a parent who doesn't watch their mouth around their young child. Just this morning my wife went to school with our 5 year old to chaperone a field trip and she texts me about them having the news on in the front office and the kids glued to it listening to a story about a local shooting. Point is, in the context of all things kids are exposed to that we as parents have to navigate, I'm not at all worried about having to tell mine that fuck is a bad word when he hears a superbike racer say it.

 

So refreshing to hear. I'm of the same mindset/approach.

 

I don't watch news in front of my kids either. We are the guardians of what/when they are exposed to the harsh realities of our world. Cursing on TV after a race is simply unnecessary. It's not a huge deal, it's just unnecessary. If his sponsors were unhappy he did it while representing a group of kids, I would understand.

I was reminiscing and decided to look up what the lap times were the last time wera was at tgpr. I'm wayyyy out of the loop, but unless I'm missing something (and I hope I am) this sure ain't the good old days of club racing, which is a shame.

 

When the good ol days of club racing were going on, people were bitching then too.

The last time wera was at tally was just a shit show of timing for all involved. CCS was at road Atlanta at the last moment, stt was at barber, pre was at CMP and wera was also at Pitt race with endurance.. there was not enough riders to go around for any of it
